Is it the battery on my MacBook or do I new logic board?

My MacBook's battery no longer works, I have to use the mains lead for it to even switch on, the battery status is "Battery is not charging", and the health is "Poor", which I'm thinking all this needs is a new battery, but I have read other problems like this and some people are suggesting that new Logic Boards are needed.
The Cycles count is very high on 200.
The icon doesn't have a cross in the battery it has he normal charging symbol.
Any thoughts?
...how it works and
buy a new battery
Maybe try a System Management Reset. Worth a try, might help.
Recalibrating the battery might also help.
