How to change the color of the MacBook lid logo?

By LCD mac logo i mean the apple sign on the top of the lid of a macbook. I was wondering if i could change it to customize my mac a bit more to another color other then the plain white.

Software? No. It’s white plastic with a white LED behind it – there’s no way to "program" a white-only bulb to use other colors.
But you CAN mod the case itself – lots of people have (just google it – like this ‘http://www.myblackmac.com/2006/10/18/modify-your-macbook-at-kinkos/’). However it involves opening the case (probably using a tear-down guide from ‘http://www.ifixit.com’ and perhaps voiding your warranty) and removing the LCD screen, then replacing the white plastic Apple logo cover with something else. One of the ones that I like the best is the use of the multi-color "classic" Apple logo instead. Like this – ‘http://www.instructables.com/id/how-to-change-the-logo-of-a-macbook-13′/
So in short it’s possible, but you risk breaking something while inside your MacBook (MacBooks aren’t designed to be user-servicable) and/or voiding your warranty. So the question for you is "is it worth the risk"?
