i have a 17" MacBook Pro, and i am trying to use handbrake, but it wont let me open any DVD's. it says something about a 32 bit VLC. When i tried to download and install the VLC it still didn't work.
is there an easy fix for this issue? or is there a better program for getting my DVD's on my ipod?

...how it works and
Make sure it’s the 32bit Vlc/32bit handbrake….
Run vlc first (the component needs permission to work)…
Make sure the VLC app is installed in the root Applications folder so handbrake can find it…..
Are you using Snow Leopard? Are you booted into a 64-bit kernel? Do you have the 64-bit version of HandBrake and VLC? Do you know what you’re doing at all? (last one is just levity)
These are questions you have to answer before you can solve anything.
You may refer to this step by step guide, it’s regarding how to convert and put DVD or video onto iPhone on mac, it works pretty well for me.
