How to fix my wet MacBook?

I screwed up and accidentally spilled pink lemonade all over my Macbook, now when the battery is in it smells like it is burning, so i took it out and am just running from my power cord and that works fine, also my keys are really sticking badly, because of the sugar, is there any way i can clean out my keyboard and possibly fix my battery?

  1. Unfortunately Macbooks need special tools to take them apart (at least to take them apart without tearing the plastic casing apart). Take it to a local Mac repair technician and have them take it apart and clean it up, and sooner rather than later. The bright side is everything still works, so you shouldn’t need any replacement parts, the cost should be around $100 – $120. If you send it off to Apple it will cost more (and the warranty is invalid now because it’s been spilled on). Sorry there’s not really an easy way to DIY this one, run a google search for Macintosh repair in your area.

  2. Call Best Buy.
It wont cost that much at all.

  3. Call Mac customer service. This is why I dont put drinks on my desk.

  4. take it apart and wipe it down for the keys and buy a new battery. but best to call apple or take it in to a store.
