How to repair the disc on the Apple Macbook Computer?

When I go on some certain websites like.....www.myspace.com, it closes up on me saying Mac OS X software has quit unexpectedly. I went to this one program and I verified the disc.Then there's this other button that says repair disc but it's not highlighted . So can someone give me ideas for my computer??

Open your Applications – either through Finder or double click on your macintosh HD.
In Applications, scroll down and click on Utilities then Disc Utility.
From the left pane highlight your Hard Disc.
In the main pane, click on Verify Disc.
That will check to see whether you have any problems with your hard disc.
Then click on Repair File permissions.
Reboot your computer and that should fix any software problems.
Otherwise a re-install of your OSX may be warranted.
Have you kept your OSX and software up to date?
Click on the Apple symbol then Software Update and install any new updates.

Can you please stop being dumb because this question barely makes sense, repairing the disc would do nothing.
