MacBook Pro screen not working after sleep?

whenever (mostly) i put my new macbook pro to sleep and try to to like press space bar to make the screen light up, it doesn't but programs resume so its basically just a black screen with things running. How do I fix this?

It sounds like an inverter, but I don’t know for sure…it could be a software thing. If it’s under warranty still I would have it looked at by apple. It’s hard to tell with something like that. Could also be a back like.
