My MacBook screen broke. How can I repair it?
The screen of my MacBook now has a big bar through the middle which is about an inch wide and looks like the mirror of another part of the screen but very distorted. I don't know how this happened, I just turned it on and there it was. I've had this computer for about a month, so it's very new. How can I get the screen repaired? How long will it take to get repaired? How much money will it cost? Will I have to get a new screen? Please help, I'm desperate right now.
I do not have Apple Care extras or any other additional warranties, just the basic limited warranty that comes with it. I also have complimentary phone service, if that helps, but I have yet to call them because they aren't in business hours.

You are under warranty. Apple will fix it for free at one of their stores or when you phone them tomorrow, they'll send you a postage paid mailing box to ship it to them. My guess, maybe 2 weeks max.
Take it to the Apple store or call Apple.
