Is this a problem with my Macbook keyboard keys?

On my Macbook keyboard it feels like the letter on the keys are raised up a little. Is it supposed to be like this or is it dirt?

  1. That’s the way they’re made, and it’s almost as ingenious as the Mighty Mouse!!!
