How to rebuild a late 2006 Macbook?

I had a macbook for a 3 years until its logic board broke. I bought one of the unibody's but then that one got stolen, now im stuck with some shitty dell and im thinking i should fix my macbook myself. Where do i get the logic board and if possible can i get a faster processor or is the chip not part of the logic board, i have no idea. Can i get any 2.5 inch hardrive or are there special ones? Where can I get ram for it?

This is where buying a Mac bite you in the butt. You have to get all the parts from Apple. That being said you might as well just buy another Mac. The cost will be close to that of a new Mac. Judging by what your saying you need a new MB (LB), Ram,Processor, Hd. Which would equal about $800. You should just spend the extra $100-200 and buy a new one. You could always install hackintosh on the Dell… but Dells are garbage.
The other poster is wrong. You do not have to buy the parts from apple. You can go to an independent apple authorized repair center and ask them how much it would be to fix. Usually wayyyy cheaper than the apple store. I also have a Macbook and I go there
