Selling a broken macbook on ebay?

I'm selling my broken (water damage) macbook on eBay for parts, and I was just wondering if I remove the hard drive, all of my information will be safe right? In other words, If I take out the hard drive, the computer will pretty much only be for parts and not have any of my stuff on it right? Thanks.
