How long should I leave my MacBook Pro plugged in?

I recently had to get my macbook pro fixed because i burned out the battery by leaving it plugged in for too long. I know now that i cant do that but i don't know when i should charge it. Only at night time do you think? or only during the day? I dont know. thanks

You cannot ‘burn out’ your battery by leaving it plugged in.
There has to be another problem for that to happen.
Dude why would u even buy a mac! There so crappy and cost so much com pair to PC.. You should charge it only when your there for like 3-5hours.. Oh and when u use try to get a lap top fan it helps
my aunt has a macbook (oh how i want one xD) and she doesnt need to charge it for at least like 8 hours. she says to only keep it plugged in when it needs charging. when its done take the chord out of the computer. (she told me because she went to italy foir a month and lended it to me (gotta get one for me )
