Should I send my MacBook in for repair?

I have problems with my display and my DVD drive ... i've backed up my data and I need to send it in. The thing is I have iLife, iWork and microsoft office on my computer (which I paid for) along with a few other programs i paid for... will apple replace these programs or am I on my own?
If you paid for those programs, you should then have them on disc. If not, contact the companies and ask them to send you the discs. If you're the owner of the software, there should be no problems.
Your best bet if there something you don;t want to lose, is to back up what ever you have onto an external hard drive.
Apple is not responsible for your software.
