How to start up MacBook without a keyboard?

I have a macbook core duo,it had logic board issues,i opened the case to replace the logic board with one i bought on ebay,and broke the keyboard cable in the process,i have tried to power it on with my imac keyboard (G3) but the macbook won't respond to the power button. are there any pins on the logic board or anyway to make this thing turn on? i am going to order a new keyboard soon,but i spent all my money on the logic board,so i need to save up. I use this for school,and need to get some homework off of it. i have a usb keyboard and mouse,which i used frequently before the logic board died,so i know they will work,i just need a way to turn this on. i will only need to do this once,because i will just put it to sleep and wake it up through the display/lid until i get the keyboard. If anyone knows how to turn it on,please respond. i saw a little black thing with 3 pins coming out of it that says power btn by it,if that will be helpful,i don't know...
