Do I need a transformer to charge my MacBook overseas?

I am currently overseas and the voltage here is 220, is it safe to charge my macbook pro at this voltage without using a transformer ? All I'm using is the little piece that makes the rods fit the outlet.
Note: Whenever I'm charing my laptop (overseas) I can feel tiny vibrations whenever I slide my fingers on the aluminum body. Will it damage my macbook pro ??

At 220V, it will take longer for the macbook to charge. No damage should occur. Check the rating on the macbook – usually there’s some sort of manufacturer’s tag on the underside. It will say V: 120-220V or something similar. That means it will be ok at 220V. That is a voltage range that the macbook can operate under. The higher the voltage goes, the lower the current will be, increasing the charging time for the macbook.
