Unusual MacBook behavior – is it a problem?

2 weeks old. MacBook Leopard OS X. 2ghz processer (49 processes running). 2G RAM. 13.3" screen.

This afternoon, i started up my macbook and the usual gray screen came up, but the screen was a bit weird looking, and an un-usuall loading stick appeared that the bottom (along with the round loading cicle). It was able to bypass this to the logon screen. So i was worried, and i restarted it. It started nomally...and it works fine.
I am a little bit worried however, that it did this.

Any advice? or problems leading to my screen? Anything would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

  1. How many processes do you have going at startup? It sounds like it may be an issue with one of the processes. Double check those. Check out this thread ‘http://forums.macosxhints.com/archive/index.php/t-64778.html’
    and see if that helps.
    Good luck

  2. its fine, sometimes that happens to me
