I Have a 1.83ghz CoreDuo Macbook Pro
does the logic board have to be CoreDuo or is there a way to get a Core2Duo Working?

MacBooks use directly mounted (not socketed) cpus. You can replace the entire logic board, but not just the cpu.
Your question is not clearly stated, so I will assume you have a MacBook Pro with a sick logic board. The processor doesn’t matter. The board must fit the case and the screen type. A board made for a 17" won’t fit a 15" and a board for a glossy won’t fit a non-glossy. Other small changes in the port locations must be considered. Ask the parts provider to fix you up with the best board for your case.
