Is water-damaged MacBook Pro covered by AppleCare?

I spilled water on my Macbook keyboard a while ago and got some bubbles behind my screen.....about a year later it appears like my pixels are dying and white spots are popping up. They come and go, which I find odd and unrelated to water behind the screen.

Would this still be covered under apple care or does the fact that my macbook got wet at all void apple care altogether?

  1. It should, I believe accidental damage is covered.

  2. Dead pixels and white spots could unfortunately be caused by water damage. I would bring in your computer and ask them what Apple Care would cover. It’s a case-by-case thing so that would probably be your best bet.
